Warren Bruce Hohmann peacefully passed from this life on December 15, 2023, in West Hollywood, California at the age of 58. Warren was born December 29, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas to Jo Ann (Spencer) Hohmann and Warren B. Hohmann Sr.
Warren began his young life in Frankfurt, Germany where his father was stationed with the US Army. At a young age, he moved to Dallas, Texas and graduated from Bishop-Lynch High School where he participated in multiple school activities and was his class president. He graduated from Loyola University where he studied filmmaking and went to work as a producer at KTLA for 31 years until his demise.
Warren loved many things in life, but most of all he loved his friends and family. He enjoyed working at KTLA-5 and producing the morning weather and traffic. Warren was very close to his co-workers. He loved making them laugh and smile. Warren will also be remembered for his love of animals, especially his rescue cat, Crash and bird, Philomena. He was a huge fan of the original Star Wars, seeing the film 7 times. Warren had a special place in his heart for his grandmother, Marguerite Spencer. He would put together magic shows and space shows in her garage. She had a great influence on his life.
Warren was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be missed tremendously, but will forever remain in our hearts.
Warren was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Warren B. Hohmann Sr.; uncles, Fred Spencer, Herman Spencer, Bobby Spencer, Johnny Spencer, Edgar Reus, and Jimmie Smith; and Aunt Margarite Rodgers.
Survivors include mother, Jo Ann Brechtel and husband Wayne; sister, Andrea Hoffmann; nephew, Holden; aunts, Dolores Ludolph and husband Tony, Annette Reus (Godmother), beach loving Aunt Linda Smith, Pat Spencer and Nancy Spencer; also numerous cousins, and other loving family members and so many close friends.
