Ronnie L. Mingee

He is a graduate of Atherton High school class of 1959. He then went into the US Army as a clerical specialist. When he got out of the service he went to work in the transportation industry where he worked as a dispatcher and operations manager for the following 42 years.

Ron was a beloved father who was always there to take care of his children. He loved bowling and golf which he participated in most of his life. He retired in 2003 after a motorcycle accident and purchased an RV to travel the country. He eventually settled in Texas as his new home with his faithful dog Toby who lived with him for 16 years and proceeded him in 2020.

He is survived by his son, Daniel “Dan” Mingee and wife Afton of New Braunfels; daughter, Sally Mingee of Grandville , MI; brother, Norman Mingee and wife Diane of Burton, MI; eight grandchildren, Lucas, Mingee, Andrew Mingee, Rebekah Mingee, Maxwell Mingee, Samuel Mingee, Benjamin Mingee, Andrew Carrick, and Aydin Carrick; nephew, Christopher Mingee and niece, Laura Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
