Marlon was born August 13, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Justin and Joan Cielencki. The family eventually moved to New Braunfels, Texas where Marlon was raised with his younger brother Maurice. Marlon loved to play baseball when he was younger, played in the middle school band, and showed Palomino horses for Roland Ingram. Marlon worked for Montec, Ingram Ready Mix, Canham Contracting, various golf courses, and lastly relished the time as groundskeeper at TLU.
Marlon loved music, dancing, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed taking his niece Taylor hunting with him every deer season. He worked the ranches with his family. Helping his parents fix fences, tend cattle, and cut hay. He liked to 9 pin bowl with family and friends at various bowling clubs in the area.
Marlon is preceded in death by his father Justin Julian Cielencki. He is survived by his mother Joan Reeh Cielencki; brother Maurice Cielencki (wife Kimberley); Nephew Dakota Cielencki (wife Danielle); Niece Taylor Cielencki Glasson (husband Braden); great-nieces/nephews: Brianna Allen, Korbin Lane, Jaidyn Moshakos, Benjamin Cielencki, Haeden Glasson, and Avery Glasson. Godmother Connie Hildebrand. His high school best friend Monroe Wesch and best friend Ritzie Wyly. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A public viewing & visitation for Marlon will be held Monday, November 25, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 386 N Castell Ave, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A reception will follow in Saint Mary's Hall. In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Marlon's honor to the charity of your choice.
