Lois B. Burleson Moore

Lois B. Moore passed away on March 16, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born on May 3, 1928 in Hico, Texas, and also lived in Alabama, California, Idaho and Virginia at different times during her life. She was twice widowed and is survived by her four children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She worked in a variety of fields and retired from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California and then moved back to Texas in 2000 to be close to her family in New Braunfels. She was a member of the New Braunfels Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder. She was a vocal soloist at age 3 in the Hico Baptist Church and continued to sing in the church choir for many years. She belonged to the Four Seasons Garden club, the Newcomers club and the Friends of Landa Park. Her family will mourn her passing, as she will be remembered as a beloved child, a cherished wife, and devoted mother. A memorial service will be held at the New Braunfels Presbyterian Church on Tuesday March 24, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be held at a private ceremony on the Burleson family plot in Coleman, Texas.
