Kimberly Sue Rogers, 50, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. She was born to Stuart Harris Rogers and Betty Lott Rogers in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 11, 2015. Kimberly lived in Corpus Christi into her teens and then moved to Swinney Switch, Texas where she attended school and graduated from George West High School. Kimberly was a big inspiration to many people and especially to young people. She enjoyed the outdoors, playing volleyball and floating the river. She loved vacationing and some of her favorite places were Colorado and New Mexico where together with family she enjoyed many snow skiing trips. Kimberly’s biggest accomplishment in life was her son Blake whom she loved dearly. She also took great pride in her chosen career as an Occupational Therapist Assistant; helping many people and creating many friendships in Corpus Christi, Seguin, and New Braunfels.
She is survived by her son, Blake Richardson of New Braunfels; father, Stuart Rogers of New Braunfels; sisters, Jacquelin Richardson of Corpus Christi, Brenda Rogers of New Braunfels and Diane Rogers Polak of Mountain Home, Texas; nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Rogers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to a College fund set up for Blake at: https://www.gofundme.com/blakerogers.
