Joseph Patrick Gillen, passed to the arms of our loving Savior, July 7, 2023. He was born on December 21, 1951 to the late James William Gillen, U.S. Army Air Corp and Dorothy Virginia Mahr Gillen. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Randolph Gillen. Joe, a native Houstonian, was an accomplished commercial title examiner employed by Independence Title. His inimitable charm and remarkable friendliness will be sorely missed by friends and family alike. Joe, a dedicated and loving friend and father is survived by sons James Randolph Gillen and Jacob Arthur Gillen; grandchildren Erica, Jenson and Ian Gillen.
Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas will hold a service in remembrance of his life. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Fisher House Foundation.
