John J. Walsh of New Braunfels passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born October 15, 1926 in Chicago Illinois to Andrew and Mary Ellen Walsh. Mr. Walsh attended De La Salle High School before enlisting in the US Marine Corp. He worked in the grocery business in the Chicago area until he retired and moved to South Texas in 1994. He was a resident of Eden Hill for the past 9 years. Preceding him in death was his wife Margaret Walsh. His survivors include his sister Marie Van Brunt of New York; daughter Christianne Walsh of Houston; son Patrick Walsh of San Antonio; daughter Elizabeth Kopplow of Seguin; grandchildren Kaitlin Walsh and Mary Emma Walsh of San Antonio. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
