It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold "Bud" King, our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Bud was born November 20,1955 and returned to our Heavenly Father on January 16,2023. He was a wonderful husband and father who adored his family. They were his pride and joy and he always gave the very best of himself for them.
He was born to George and Maxine King in Duncan, OK. He was baptized into Christ at the age of 13 in Tulsa. He graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa, OK in the class of 1974. He went on to marry his high school sweetheart, Brenda, on July 19, 1974 in Tulsa, OK. They were blessed with three sons, Jason, Marshall and Joshua. He was a proud Papa to 7 beautiful grandchildren. Bud will be forever remembered for his kind and compassionate spirit and the positive impact he made on so many people's lives.
Bud was an innovative and inspiring manager in the car business who was successful at turning even the most broken of places into winners. He always led by example, challenging those who worked with him to grow both professionally and as a person. He went on to leave a legacy of people who went on to be successful in their own right, many in much higher positions than they may have imagined for themselves. It is hard to find even a single person that worked with Bud that doesn’t break out into a smile telling a funny story, speak on how he made them feel important as a person, or express gratitude for the impact he had on their life.
He was preceded in death by his parents George and Maxine King, his sister Kathleen King Berg, and his beloved son Joshua who died in 2002. He is survived by his wife Brenda, a son Jason and his wife Kelly along with their children Skyler and Colt, and a son Marshall and his wife Tina along with their children Ryder, Presley, Brooke, Ashley, and Cameron. He is also survived by a sister Pam Crookham and a sister Kim Ivester along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on February 11, 2023 at 11 am at Hillside Fellowship Church. The church is located at 7055 US Hwy 281 in Spring Branch, TX 79070. In lieu of flowers please make a charitable donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a charity very close to Bud's heart. We will miss and love him forever.
