Crystal D. Martinez

Crystal D. Martinez, 37, of New Braunfels, TX passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX. She was born to Roger Dominguez and Armandina (Maldonado) Domiguez in San Antonio on December 22, 1978.

Crystal grew up in San Antonio where she attended private school and graduated from Incarnate Word High School in 1997. She later completed her undergraduate studies in Business at UTSA and then went on to receive her MA Degree in Counseling from Texas A&M at San Antonio. Crystal was a Certified Counselor for Connections and had a true passion for working with youth. She also had a tender love for animals and volunteered regularly for the Animal Defense League. She had a beautiful personality, very energetic, a fun loving person who enjoyed getting out and socializing. She loved karaoke singing, dancing, watching American Idol, the Voice and So you think you can dance. Most of all she was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family on regular field trips to Seaworld the San Antonio Zoo, and hiking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Andy Martinez; children, Isaac Martinez, Christian Martinez and Lola Martinez; parents, Roger and Armandina Dominguez of San Antonio; brother, Adrian Dominguez and wife Lisa of Schertz; and grandmother, Marina Dominguez of San Antonio; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Monday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Vigil and Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Tony Pesek-Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of Zoeller Funeral Home, New Braunfels, TX.
