Betty Hawthorne of New Braunfels passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Kirkwood Manor. She was born September 20, 1940 in New Braunfels to Herbert Georg and Hilda Borchers Georg both of whom precede her in death.
She is survived by her husband, John Hawthorne; sister, Marjorie Murphy; niece, Lisa Mueller and husband Glenn and their children Todd and Jorie; nephew, David Murphy and his daughter Madison.
Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2012 at Zoeller Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions may make them to Peace Lutheran Church or Hope Hospice.
