Sonja Elizabeth Doran

Sonja was born on August 9, 1937 in Detroit, MI. Following high school graduation, Sonja served her country proudly in the U.S. Army. In 1958, she married her husband of 40 years, Raymond Thomas Doran. Sonja spent her life caring for her four children and many animals over the years. She was a loving mother, a talented dog trainer, and artist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Doran, and her son, Thomas "Tommy" John Doran.

Sonja is survived by her three children, Renee Childrey (Phil), Michael Doran (Stefanie), and Timothy Doran (Pam); five grandchildren, Travis, Chistopher, Jonathan, Victoria, and Anna; and beloved furry companions, Sparky and Murphy.

A Celebration of Sonja's Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Sonja's name may be made to Colonial Capital Humane Society.
