Patricia Ann Weems, 76, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 31st, 2024.
She was born March 8th of 1948 to the late Lester Asa Willis and Lila Davis Willis. She married her teenage sweetheart Ronnie Weems Sr. June 4th, 1964 and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She retired from Craven County Schools after being employed as an elementary school cafeteria worker. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of the Salvation Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Leo Weems, her brothers William C Willett of Lyons GA, and Albert B Willett of Mt. Gilead NC, Great Grandson Hudson Adam Weems, and her special puppy Princess.
She is survived by her three sons, Ronnie L. Weems Jr. (Tammy), Richard L. Weems (Lisa), and Stephen P. Weems (Sheryl) all of New Bern NC. She leaves behind her sisters Edna Davis of Harkers Island NC, Natalie Johnson of Harkers Island NC, Jean Elson of Pollocksville NC and Linda Holland (Larry) of Tarboro NC; brother Mickey Willis (Peggy) of New Bern NC and lifelong friend Charles Nobles; Six grandchildren, Ashley Weems, Brian Weems (Sarah), Adam Weems, Aaron Weems, Austin Arrington (Nina), Stephen P. Weems Jr., Russell Shaw; Six Great Grandchildren Savannah Weems, Blayden Weems, Blaire Weems, Edie Arrington, Rowan Weems and Xander Weems.
Visitation will be at 1pm on June 4th at Cotten Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral services will be at 2pm with the Corps Officer Karl and Janice Dahlin officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery. Chris Walton, John Walton, Brian Godwin, David Godwin, Randy Ferrell and Toby Harrell will serve as pallbearers.
