Mona Irene Scott

Mona Irene Scott, 87, of Ernul, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Mona was born October 13, 1934 in Craven County, North Carolina to the late Eddie Ray Robinson and Nola Arthur Robinson.

She is survived by sons; Jimmy Scott and his wife, Debbie and Gerald Scott and his wife, Kristy, four grandchildren; Jeremy Scott and his wife, Robyn, Jessica Bennett and her husband, Samuel, Jimmy Dewayne Scott and Stephanie Scott, 3 great grandchildren; Logan Scott and Isabella and Colton Bennett and one sister; Margaret Purifoy.

She is predeceased by her husband, Evylon "Bud" Scott.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with the Rev. Rex Allen Bennett officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband in New Bern Memorial Cemetery, 1112 Chelsea Road, New Bern, North Carolina 28562. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation in her honor to a charity of your choice.
