Marie Collette Doran

She was born in Weehawken, New Jersey. She graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1950 and worked as a librarian during the 1970s. She loved working in the children's department. In 1994, after Richard retired, they moved to New Bern NC.

She is survived by her two sons, Richard Doran, Jr. and Robert Doran; her daughter, Kristin Aberle and husband Michael; grandchildren, Becky, Katie, Christina, Rebecca, Timothy, Darrah, Julie, Alyssa, Christopher and Matthew; six great-granddaughters, and three great-grandsons.

Marie loved to play golf, read, and play piano. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, sewing, cross stitching, and painting, creating many works of art that will be treasured heirlooms for generations to come.

A Mass will be held at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, February 19 @ 10:00 AM.
