Maria Scarpenti Mazza

She is preceded in death by husband Antonio Mazza, Parents Lorenzo Scarpenti & Maria Callegari Scarpenti, and Grandson Micheal Anthony Mazza.

She is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of New Bern, NC. Maria enjoyed cooking, sewing and entertaining her grandchildren with a special spaghetti dinner every Saturday.

Maria is survived by son Mauro L. Mazza of New Bern and his two children Kevin Mazza & wife Julie and their two children Lilly & Hunter, Colleen Davy & husband Scott, and their four children Scott Michael, Andrew. Brian, and Sarah; daughter Laura Lindsay & husband James W. Lindsay of New Bern, and their five children Judy Connolly & husband Frank, their children Frankie and Hope, Stephen Lindsay & wife Rosemarie, their children Emily and Julia, James Lindsay Jr. & wife Rose, David Lindsay & wife Laurie, their children Anthony and Victoria, Susan Kurg & husband Robert, their children Nathaniel and Andrew, and sister Rita & Arseno Caramatti of Italy.

Family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 pm Friday, September 12, 2014 at Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church St. Goshen, NY. (845-294-6422). A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Church of St. John the Evangelist, 71 Murray Ave. (845-294-5328).
