Luigi came to America in 1963. He spent many years in New York and eventually settled in Havelock, North Carolina where he opened up Mario’s Pizza with his business partner Mario Alessio. It was here where Luigi, along with his wife Teresa, raised their four children. Luigi loved spending time with his grandchildren, golfing with his golf buddies, spending time outdoors in his garden and most importantly making other people happy and filling them with laughter.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 50 years Teresa, daughters Rosa and her husband Umby and Maria and her husband Chris, sons Anthony and his wife Ariana and Roy and his wife Natalie, ten grandchildren Luigi, Luca, Leo, Giuliana, Gianni, Alana, Bruno, Enzo, Rocco and his step-grandson Tylor.
He is predeceased by his father Antonio, his mother Rosa, his brother Pasquale and his sister Maria.
We would like to thank the wonderful ICU nurses at CarolinaEast Medical Center for all their devotion to Luigi during his time spent there.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation of your choice to James and Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital, located at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
