Lisa Diane Simms

Lisa Diane Simms, age 57, of New Bern, NC, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at CarolinaEast Medical Center. Lisa lived a life full of love, joy, and a deep connection to those around her, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

For many years, Lisa worked as the Banquet Captain at The Flame Restaurant. Outside of work, Lisa had a passion for crafting, especially diamond art, where she found peace and joy in creating beautiful pieces. She also had a special love for gardening and flowers, with sunflowers being her favorite, symbolizing the light and warmth she brought to everyone’s life. Above all, Lisa adored her furbabies, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout her life.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Mack "Bo" and Evelyn Simms, as well as her brothers, Emmitt Clayton Simms, Mack David Simms, and Jerry Thomas Simms. She is survived by her fiancé, Chad Corey, who was a source of love and support in her life; her niece, Toni Simms Price, and her husband, Allen; her nephew, Jonathan Simms Dawson, and his husband, Elijah; as well as her great nieces and nephews, Zachary Allen Price, Austin Ray Price, and Savannah Michelle Price, and her great-great nephew, Jaxon Allen Price. Lisa’s love for her family was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

A Celebration of Lisa's life will be announced at a later date, where her family and friends will gather to share memories, laughter, and stories of the beautiful person she was.
