Letha was preceded by her husband, Charles W. Benton Sr. and her parents, Kirby and Frances Johnson.
She is survived by her son Billy Benton and wife Tara; sister, Anne Johnson Metts and husband Carlton; two grandsons, Lane Ross Benton and wife Caitlin and Landon Benton; two great grandsons, Wake Benton and Bodie Benton, several nieces and nephews.
Letha was a parts manager at Joe Alcoke Auto and Truck Center of New Bern for over 25 years. She enjoyed working in her yard, cooking and spending time with her family.
A lakeside chapel service for Letha will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Greenleaf Memorial Park, with Rev. David Adams officiating. The family receive friends an hour before the service at the Lakeside Chapel.
