Johnnie, also known as "Dead Eye," was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed his daily ride around the "loop" and spending his afternoons at the dog pen, where he gained a sense of peace and serenity. To know Johnnie was to love him and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Lee Watson and Arlyn Quinn Beckwith; and his son, Johnnie Franklin Watson, Jr.
Johnnie is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy Ramona Adams Watson; daughters, Amy Lynn Watson Sparrow (Jay) and Jamie Lynn Watson Creech (Ramrod); stepson, Devi Wayne Koonce, Jr.; stepdaughter, Hannah Nichole Koonce Cooke (Ricky); sisters, Veronica Braxton (Jeff) and Margie Eubanks; brother, Howard Watson; grandchildren, Kentsey Watson (Camerin), Payten Blevins, Lawson Blevins, Jackson Creech, Katelyn Sparrow, JJ Sparrow; step grandchildren, Craig Cooke, Rick Cooke, Alexia Cooke, and Rylee Jo Koonce; and one great granddaughter, Reagan Watson.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23rd at the Quinn Cemetery (Quinn Road, Cove City) with Pastor Calvin Heath officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the cemetery and other times at the Watson residence.
