With great sorrow we announce the passing of Joan Farrell Connelly. She was peacefully called to be with the Lord on August 10th 2022. Joan was born in Newark, NJ on October 30th 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent J. Farrell and Flora M. Farrell; Sisters Patricia Fox and Susan Newlon; as well as her loving Husband Frank J. Connelly Jr.
Joan is survived by her Daughters Heather Burkhardt Packard and Kathleen Burkhardt Gandy; Three Grandchildren and Three Great Grandchildren.
Joan is remembered for her passion of helping those in need, her love of animals, her welcoming spirit and her love of Family and Friends.
Joan's funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in New Bern N.C. on Monday August 22nd, 2022 at 5:00p.m. (Family will be greeting attendees starting at 4:30). Grave side services in New Bern National Cemetery on August 23rd, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
