Janice Mae Pitt

She is survived by daughters Georgette Daub of New Bern and Judith Cocking and husband Roger of Philadelphia. Sons Randy Pitt and wife Jennifer, Duane Pitt and wife Tina all of Lebanon, PA.

Grandsons Steven Daub and wife Cyndi and great grandchildren Caroline and Ian; Christopher Daub and wife Brianne and great grandchildren Lily, Addie, Grady and Wells. Also grandchildren Matthew Cocking and wife Ashley, and Alexander Cocking; Jonathan, Andrea and Ryan Pitt; Jeffrey and Chris Boehler and deceased grandson Tye Boehler, sons of Duane and Tina Pitt.

Janice was an accomplished pianist/organist/teacher/choir director in New Bern and surrounding communities. She touched the lives of many, especially the children and adults she taught to play piano and instilled her love of music and art in many students. She loved to paint and her paintings were in several art shows in New Bern and Havelock. She was a member of the “Y” and attended AARP meetings regularly.

Janice was a member of Riverside Methodist Church in New Bern and a memorial service will be held to celebrate her life on Saturday, March 10 at 11:00 at the church. Burial will be in Schaefferstown, PA on March 31.
