Hugh proudly served his country by joining the Air Force. Hugh owned Banks Grocery, a country store in Askins, for almost 25 years. In 1963, Hugh and Ann were married at Antioch FWB Church. You could find Hugh and his family at Antioch FWB Church, where they were faithful members. A few things that best describe Hugh are his love for fishing, baseball, and Bluegrass music. Although these are a few things that Hugh loved his love for Ann exceeded them all.
Hugh is survived by children, Sherri Banks Price and Carlton Banks (Kimberly); grandchildren, Stephanie Alfred Collins (Princton Collins Sr.), Brandan Alfred, Justin Peed, and Kasey Matthews; great-grandchildren, Jazlyn Alfred, Kelahni Roberts, and Princton Collins Jr.; sister, Grace Hendrick (Ron); and many loving family members and close friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Banks; children, Kerrie Lee and Kathie Lynn; and brother, Morris Banks.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park. Hugh will be laid to rest beside Ann following the service.
