Cheryl was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Benjamin Moore Jr.
She is survived by her three children, Carlene (David) Burke, Benjamin (Melody) Moore III, and Christie (Doug) Hale; her grandchildren, John (Stephanie) Burke, Jacob (Cindy) Burke, Lyndsay (Eugenio) Gonzalez, Kaitlyn Moore, Emily Moore, Rachel Hale and great granddaughter, Ashlyn Burke. Cheryl is also survived by her loving brother William Morris and his wife Rhonda.
Cheryl loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her greatest joy was her family, friends, and beloved dog, Bogey.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cotten Funeral Home, on Monday, October 21st at 6 pm with Dr. Richard Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colonial Capital Humane Society,1860 Old Airport Road, New Bern, NC,28562, a cause close to Cheryl’s heart.
Cheryl will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends in her neighborhood, the Tryon Twirlers, and the YMCA.
