Can't  remember  all the good times we had growing  up in Kinston,  we were buddies  and did alot of crazy things. but we always had fun and never hurt anyone or anything. We loss contact for a long time, but got back to being friends several years before he left us. We hunted and played golf together for several years 
 Denny had a way to keep you on your toes with his whit and humor. My prayers go out to his family and friends and may he rest in peace and I  know they miss him something awful  and so do I.

I know it's  been tough losing  Denny for all of you. He was a loving  husband and father and a great friend  to many.I  was fournate  to have  shared many a memory with this fellow. We grew up in a time when things were simple and we did some crazy things that I'll  never forget. After years of not seeing  each we quickly became best friends again and for that I'm very thankful. His whit and humor was always with him, never a dull  minute when you were with him 
 I truly miss him greatly ,as I  know Pam and Denise do along with Claudia.  All I can say is he left us too soon, but we'll see him again one day, may he rest in peace your friend  Eddie

The Dixon-Conderman Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2514 is most saddened to hear of the passing of Charles D. Turnage.  I remember a family visit to our VFW Post in September of 2019 for a Turkey Shoot.  Both Charles and his daughter were winners in the Turkey shoot, and we loved the family event.  Charles was a fellow Vietnam veteran, and his passing reflects on the numbers quickly disappearing around us.  One thing that was obvious is that he sure had a fine family.  My prayers go out to all who loved this veteran.

Denny was my cousin and my best friend growing up. He will truly be missed. I  really enjoyed our time fishing together when I was living in North Carolina. He was a big help helping me over come some of my problems growing up. He will truly be missed. Gone but will never be forgotten. 

We remember Charles as a neighbor/friend to my sister and her husband. He visited with us and shared so many funny stories with us while we were staying in New Bern. Another treasure left us, but memories of our laughter that evening Charles provided to a family in need of laughter will be remembered forever. RIP Charles...condolences and prayers to Pam, his daughter and his father-in-law. He was special to our family❤️❤️

I'm going to miss my neighbor going by every morning in his truck.  I know Max was waiting for him when he got to the other side. I  know they are cutting up and making everyone laugh up there.  Max thought Charles could do anything    And he could .  Going to miss his smile and comments.  My heart goes out to Pam and Denise and family.   Another great man gone to  early in life.


Denny and I  have been friends for around 60 yrs. I  can honestly say he was a true friend. We can of lost contact  for a long time and then reunited  around 6 yrs ago,couldn't have had a better friend since then. We grew up together in Kinston and had great times together. He could keep you laughing the hold time you were with him. He loved to hunt,fish and play golf. I  will truly miss him and still in awe that he's  not with us anymore. What a wonderful  man that has gone to be with the Lord, till we meet again, I'll cherish  our memories  together . My sympathy goes out to the family and friends. 

I do a lot of walking around our neighborhood and that's how I met Denny, Pam and Robert.  My neighbor's dog Herman really loved Denny and would make a special trip right up to his door to get some love from Denny and sometimes a bite of roast beef too!  Denny would be riding by while my neighbor and I were walking with Herman,  and he'd  stop just to say hi to Herman and his human mom Karen and me.  We sure are going to miss Denny.  He was a kind, caring, and funny man and he will truly be missed.
Pam, Robert and Denise it's difficult to know what to say at a time like this. My prayers are with you all.


 He made everyone smile. He would brighten any room he entered with his awesome personality. Everyone who knew Denny loved him. We will particularly cherish all the memories of the years shared when he and Pam lived in Fayetteville.  We loved Denny very much and he will be dearly missed by all our family. Love, hugs and prayers to Pam, Denise and Robert. 

I have lots of memories with my Uncle Denny but the best thing am most proud of that I was the flower girl at his wedding 52 years ago. You’ll truly be missed.  I love you...❤️ Lori Lanier

What a character Denny was. He never ran out of jokes and always had something funny to say. I don't think he ever met a stranger.  He lit up the VA Clinic when he came for his medical visits. I went to school with Denny and his sister Linda, and later worked with his sister, Claudia. This was truly an awesome family. I also
 had the pleasure of being Denny's Nurse at the Morehead City VA Clinic, and always looked forward to his visits. My Prayers are with the family, and know he will truly be missed. RIP dear friend.
