Theresa Arena Sirois

Theresa was born and raised in Dartmouth, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Emmanuelle Arena, and has lived in New Bedford for the past 56 years.

She graduated from Dartmouth High School, Class of 1946 and worked for over 25 years as a Nurses’ Aide at Hallmark Nursing Home in New Bedford. She was an avid gardener who especially enjoyed tending to flowers.

Theresa was the Mother of Leon Sirois of Mattapoisett, MA, David Sirois of Kingston, MA, Laurie Sirois-Patnode and her husband Michael of New Bedford, MA and Gregory Sirois of New Bedford, MA; Grandmother of Matthew Damata of New Bedford, MA and Sister of Philomena Belli of New Bedford, MA and the late Mary Gilholm, Joseph, Carmino and Antoinette Arena. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive relatives and friends at her Memorial Visitation on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Flowers are welcome. Private burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
