Robert Roger Levesque

Robert R. “Bob” Levesque, age 74, of New Bedford, passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 at Hathaway Manor. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Theodore J. and Rosilda B. (Dumont) Levesque, he had been a longtime resident of New Bedford.

A graduate of St. Anthony High School, he worked as a Payroll Clerk at Chamberlin Manufacturing for many years and most recently at Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School before retiring in 2009. An avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, he enjoyed playing poker on his computer and most of all spending time with his friends.

He is survived by two sisters, Muriel Dupuis and Lorraine Gibeault; lifelong friend Richard R. Dupuis, caregiver and close friend, Joanne Romanelli; and dear friends James Gatenby and Diane Poulin. He was the brother of the late Roland Levesque.

His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 9:00AM from the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church 1359 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers contributions in his honor may be made to G.N.B. Voc. Tech Scholarship Fund, 1121 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford.
