Nancy McKenna

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of Larry and Germaine (Cabral) Deresendes of New Bedford she was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. McKenna graduated from New Bedford High School. She later went on to work for Corner Sports Store for more than 20 years as an embroidery artist. Nancy also worked at Team One Newport in Middletown with the embroidery team.

Nancy will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, daughter and wife. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her children.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two sons, Christopher J. Resendes and Brandan P. McKenna of New Bedford; a step son, Kyle McKenna of Tiverton; a sister, Diane Williams of NH; two brothers, Bert Deresendes of KY and Mike Deresendes of SC; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be Monday, August 1, 2016 at 8 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 9 am in Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle St., New Bedford.
