Born in St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Joao Carlos and Maria Eulalia (de Melo) Silva, she was a longtime resident of the south coast. Maria worked as a seamstress for many years prior to her retirement.
Maria is survived by her children, Aida Raimbeault and her husband Ronald of east Greenwich, Stephen Silva of New Bedford and Michael Silva of TN; 3 grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Silva and Brian Raimbeault; and 1 great-grandchild. Her siblings predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 10;00am in Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, 136 Earle Street , New Bedford, MA 02746 followed by Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 12:45PM.
