Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Charles and Edith (Smalley) Ripley, she had resided in Dartmouth for many years.
Mrs. Johnson and her husband owned and operated Ted Johnson’s Family Restaurant for over 20 years. They also managed the Hawthorn Country Club in Dartmouth.
Lillian was a senior master bridge player who was talented at arts and crafts, specifically knitting, crocheting and needlepoint. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and hosting cocktail parties. She enjoyed the company of her loving family and friends.
Her family includes a daughter, Bette E. Thomas and fiancé Robert Jacintho of Acushnet; a son, Peter T. Johnson and wife Andrea of Bristol, RI; three grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Kristen Lancaster and husband James and Susan Moreira and husband Paul; five great-grandchildren, Kyle Lancaster, Kathryn Lancaster, Lily Thomas, Abby Thomas and Brooke Moreira; and a sister, Marilyn Bresset.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Eunice Smith and Jane Smith.
