Lillian R. Raymond Arruda

Born in Gloucester, she was the daughter of the late Domingoes and Mary (Moniz) Raymond. Mrs. Arruda was a Home Health Aide and volunteered at Alden Court for many years. She taught knitting classes, loved knitting and working with seniors. She especially loved spending time with her family and her kitty Molly.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon M. Jensen and her husband James; four sons, William Jr., Steven, Manuel, and Michael Arruda; her 8 grandchildren, Jillian, Jacob, Deirdra, Alie, Destiny, Gabriella, Stevie ,Victoria, great grandchild, Olivia, a godchild, Rachel Beth and a niece Rosemary and her husband Billy.

She is also survived by her very dear friends, Lorraine and Shirley.

Her funeral will be held Friday, December 4, 2014 at 9 AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by her funeral mass at 10 AM in St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., East Freetown. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 PM.
