Jose J. Raposo

Born in St. Michael, Portugal, Mr. Raposo lived in the New Bedford area most of his life. He was the son of Artur and Natalia (Mauricio) Raposo.

Joe worked as a cable technician for Comcast.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents are his children, Cassie and Alyssa Raposo both of New Bedford; a sister, Natalie Raposo of Portugal; a brother, Billy Raposo of New Bedford; a niece, Amanda Fernandes of Acushnet; and a nephew, Scott Girard of Acushnet.

His funeral will be held Thursday July 12, 2012 at 8:30am at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA followed by a funeral mass at 9:30am at St. Joseph- St Therese Church, Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8pm. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Donations to the family would be greatly appreciated.
