Helen V. Boyer

Born in West Virginia, daughter of the late William R. and Clara C. Nay, she was a longtime New Bedford resident. Helen worked at the former Fernandes Supermarket for 20 years, retiring in 1980. Helen enjoyed spending time with family, reading, traveling and a good sing along.

She is survived by a son, Robert A. Boyer of New Bedford; a daughter, Cheryl Wilbur and her husband Frank of Syracuse, New York; a sister, Wilma Ray and her husband Earl of OH; two grandsons, Jeffrey and his wife Anna Frateschi; and Timothy Wilbur and a great-granddaughter Ella. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert, Harold and William Nay.

Helen’s family would like to thank the staff at Care One of New Bedford for the kind care provided to their mother over the last several months.

Her memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:30PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Relatives and friends are invited.
