She was born in Anniston, AL, the daughter of Lillian T. (Fournier) Avila of Fairhaven and the late Bob LeCroy. Carol was employed as a Computer Engineer with Cameo Curtin in New Bedford for many years until her retirement.
Carol loved spending time family and friends, enjoyed sewing, traveling, shopping and going to the casino with her sister. She was an avid lover of animals and was known for being very friendly and accepting. Carol had the ability to connect with people on such a personable level and very much enjoyed talking to everyone about personal life experiences.
In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by her three daughters Theresa L. Pedreira and her husband Paul of New Bedford, Jennifer L. Moura of New Bedford and Felicia M. Moura of Middleborough; seven grandchildren Alyssa and Adam Day, PJ, Hannah and Benjamin Pedreira, Olivia Moura and Aden Ramirez; a great grandchild Julian Caballero; two sisters Laura Murray of Attleboro and Debra Allain of New Bedford; a brother Robert LeCroy and his wife Maria of New Bedford and many nieces and nephews.
