Steven Lawrence Nance

Steven Lawrence Nance, 64, died Thursday at his home surrounded by his family. Steve attended Holy Family Grade School, Scribner Jr. High School, graduated from Providence High School in 1976, and attended IU Bloomington. He was a New Albany native, member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, and third generation owner/operator of Nance Floral Shoppe in New Albany. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Spatig Nance; his in-laws, Louie and Ozetta Payne Kaiser; and brother-in-law, Brad Kraft. Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy Kaiser Nance; children, Brian L. Nance, Craig S. Nance (Ashley), and Jamie M. Thomassen (Sam); sisters, Dottie Kraft (Kurt) and Carol Coulter (Trevor); and his 8 grandchildren he so cherished, Charlee and Miles Nance, Harper, George, and Isla Nance, and Jaxson, Finnley, and Marley Thomassen. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Shelly Kraft and Susan Waiz (Rob); brothers-in-law, Mike Kaiser (Kim), Mark Kaiser (Amy), and Matt Kaiser (Jackie); and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12 pm ~ 6 pm Sunday and from 10 am ~ 11 am Monday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
