Michael "Mike" Ray Lankford

Michael "Mike" Ray Lankford, age 69, of Pekin, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. Mike was born in New Albany, Indiana on October 1st, 1955 to the late Raymond Lankford and Mary Ruth Miniard. Mike was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and proudly served in the Vietnam Era. He married, Donna Forrest, on November 23rd, 1987. Mike enjoyed his long career at Jefferson County Public School System and retired as a supervisor in 2017. He was a man of many trades and loved to use his hands to fix just about anything. Mike had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mike is preceded in death by his parents. Mike is survived by his wife of 37 years, Donna Lankford; his children, Brandon Cook, Natasha Spurling, Cody Lankford, Jada Nicole Lankford, and Rylan Lankford; his grandchild, Londynn Zollman; his brothers, Terry Lankford and Steve Lankford; and niece, Lyndsay. A visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana on November 18th, 2024 from 11:00am to 3:00pm. His funeral service will be held at Kraft Funeral Service on November 18th, 2024 at 3:00pm with cremation to follow.
