Mary Ann (Block) Reed

MARY ANN (BLOCK) REED, 62, went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY surrounded by her family. Mary Ann, the oldest of nine children, was born December 3, 1952 in New Albany, IN. She managed the Providence High School cafeteria for 18 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Steve Reed; children, Steve Reed, Jr. (Liz), Kevin Reed (Rebecca), and Kelly Osting (Robby); parents, Wilbert J. “Will” and Rose “Rosie” (Tinius) Block; siblings, Danny Block (Susie), Patty Geswein (Jim), Susan Block, Nancy Miller (Kevin), Billy Block, David Block (Sandy), Janie Spitznagel (Frank), and Rosie Shannon (Steve); and grandchildren, Kevin, Trey, Ellie, Makenzie, Katie, Jakob, Bernadette, Savannah, Rose, Mary Agnes, Quinn, and Anastasia. Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, New Albany with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
