JERRY LEE PLUMMER, 75, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his home with his wife and two sons, Bob and Tim, at his side. Jerry was born September 4, 1938 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Bertha (Burden) and Lawrence Plummer, Sr. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 22, 1968. Jerry volunteered with the Southern Indiana Regional Building Committee as a volunteer worker on the Kitchen Crew, for nearly 20 years, to help build Kingdom Halls in Southern Indiana. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Joyce Plummer; and siblings, Patty Jean Plummer, James Plummer and Bill Fleming.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Reba Joyce Harris Plummer; children, Guy Plummer, Larry Plummer (Benita), Alice Saltsgaver (Reggie), Robert “Bob” Plummer, Sr. (Yvonne), Ted Plummer (Mary), David Plummer (Margaret), Tom Plummer (Tera) and Tim Plummer (Cathy); siblings, Lawrence Plummer, Jr., Joan Murphy and Sherry Stiller; 19 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren to come.
Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 12:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
