Darlene (Andres) Potter Witt, age 87, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in New Albany, Indiana. She was born on September 27, 1937 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Raymond and Lucille Andres. Darlene was an active member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, was a 25 year employee at Coyle Chevrolet/New Albany Motors, and a 25 year employee of Brown Brothers Cadillac. Along with her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Beckham "Jack" Potter; and her brother, Raymond Andres, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Witt; daughter, Sandy (Potter) Chambers of Atlanta, GA; step-sons, Mike Witt and David Witt (Laura); sister-in-law, Mary Lou Andres; and her brothers children, Raymond, Debbie, Trina, Jenny, and Sherry.
A visitation for Darlene will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, 5719 St Marys Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119.
The family requests donations in Darlene's memory go to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic School building fund.
Darlene will be laid to rest in St. Mary of the Knobs Cemetery, Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
