Connie Jean (Keith) Bachman Hancock

Connie is survived by her beloved daughters, Therese Bachmann, Valarie Russell (Kenny), and Stephanie Cox and their brother, CT Bachman; grandchildren, Gary Bachmann, Amanda Schuster (Rob), and Jennifer Cox (Rod Greene); great-grandbabies, Brayden Bachman, Quincy Greene, Baron Schuster, and Cameron Greene; her sisters, Jo Ann Bragg, Janice Adcock (Sam), and Joyce Morlen; as well as a large extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Reuben Keith; mother, Elizabeth Wood; husband, Gerald Hancock who died serving our country during the Vietnam War; former husband, Edgar Bachman and his son, Joseph Bachman; daughter, Denise Bachmann-Klotz; life partner, Ronald Wright; and son-in-law, Gregory Cox.

Connie was born on March 1, 1939 in Leitchfield, KY. She graduated from New Albany High School in 1956. She worked for Bell South for many years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Kentuckiana Chapter of the National Herb Society and a Master Gardener. Connie was “A Travel Nut” who loved making new memories with her family and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and beautiful great-grandbabies!

Visitation will be 11:00 am ~ 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral is scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday with entombment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
