Carol Ann Quinn, 73 years of age died Wednesday February 21,2018 at Baptist Pallative Care in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born April 14, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Lonsburry) Quinn. Her Dad was in the Navy, and she was raised in Southern California and then in the Prospect and Goshen area. She was a member of the Worthington Church of Christ, a 1962 graduate of Oldham County High School and Spencerian Business College. Carol worked all her life in the medical field for Dr’s offices, Surburban and Norton hospitals and currently for the last twenty-nine years at the Norton Cancer Center as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. John Hamm. She was a member of the V.F.W. Floyd County Post #3281 Ladies Auxilliary and the Voiture 40 & 8 in New Albany. Carol enjoyed people, visits to Florida, her family at home and at work and don’t forget her trips to “The Boat”. She spent many happy times with her family, friends, and her partner and sweetheart of thirty-five years, “Joddie” Johnson.
Survivors include her partner of 35 years, Joddie Johnson; sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Conroy (Fred); nephews, Robert Conroy, Timothy Conroy (Joanna), as well as many other special relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from: 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 2, 2018 and after 9:00 am Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at the Kraft Spring Street Chapel. Burial will follow at 12:30 pm Saturday in Harrods Creek Cemetery, Brownsboro, Kentucky. The family requests expressions of sympathy to the charity of choice.
