Labaty, Simonne P. (Nee LaFrance) — It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Simonne Labaty on Aug. 4 at age 95. Simonne is survived by her sons, Jim (Cheri), and Randy; grandchildren, Jim (Bahia), Jeni, and Kendra; great-grandchildren, Hanna, Aubrey, Nigel, Levi, and Asher, and her niece and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Eva (Hank), Yvette (Ray), Les (Marie), and many other family members.
Simonne worked hard her entire life, and was an early pioneer in computer programming at Ashdowns, Eaton’s, and the Airliner Hotel. In retirement, Simonne enjoyed trips she took to the Maritimes and Scotland, and wintered in Mesa, Arizona for several years.
A graveside memorial will take place at 10:00am, Aug. 22 with reception to follow at Green Acres Funeral Home.
