Grace Schriemer

Peacefully, on October 14th, 2023, at St. Boniface Hospital, with her husband by her side, the Lord called to Himself Grace Schriemer at the age of 83 years.

Beloved wife of Victor Schriemer for 60 years. Cherished Mom to Henry and Nancy, Trevor and Rina, Rick and Tessa, David and Tammy, Scott and Debbie and Coba. Dear Grandma to 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Dear daughter of the late Frederikus and Tjitske Ludwig. She was predeceased by her brothers John and Edward and her sister Wilma, as well as by her brothers-in-law Hugo and Henk.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings and/or their spouses: Frances Ludwig, Shirley Ludwig, Renee & Seine Datema, Ann Ludwig, Joanne & Hubert deBruin, Harold & Tina Ludwig and Frank & Annette Ludwig. Grace will also be missed and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews as well as the extended Schriemer family and her church family, which she held very dear.

Special thanks to the 7th floor nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care these last two weeks and to Abi, Janice and Alona, Grace’s personal care givers who took such tremendous care of her these last few years. She was so fond of you! Words cannot adequately express our thanks!

Visitation will be at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery on Thursday, October 19th from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held at Grace Canadian Reformed Church, 730 Pandora Avenue West, on Friday, October 20th at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend Rick Vanderhorst officiating. (See the church website for livestream details.) Interment will follow immediately after the service and refreshments will be served at the Church following the interment.
