Andrea Marie Swenson

SEPTEMBER 17, 1929 – DECEMBER 15, 2015

We are sad to announce the peaceful passing of Andrea Swenson (Morin) at the age of 86. Andrea married Clifford in June of 1957. Andrea was born in Greenway, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg at an early age. Cliff and Andrea were married for 32 years before his untimely passing. Their enjoyment in life was visiting with family and friends. Shortly after retiring from Medo-Land Dairies, Cliff and Andrea were planning to travel and enjoy their retirement. Unfortunately Cliff’s early passing took that dream away. Andrea was predeceased by her parents, Ella and Charles Morin, sister Marie, brother Tony, brothers-in-law Romeo, Willie, Richard, Albert and sister-in-law Millie, nephews Roger, Michel and Brent. Andrea leaves to mourn siblings Charlotte, Mona (Leo), Yvette, Leo (Yvette), Rene (Levia), Andre (Laura), Lorraine (Rene), sisters-in-law Viola and Marianne, brother-in-law Bill and numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Although Cliff and Andrea had no children of their own they adopted and in turn were adopted because of their love and kindness by all of their nieces and nephews; which gave them great pleasure. Andrea was blessed to have had her own Guardian Angel on earth, her nephew Dale. Andrea was a proud member of the Holy Cross Parish since 1957 and was actively involved at their food bank for many years.

The family would like to thank the staff at Foyer Valade for their kindness and compassion over the last 2 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andrea’s memory to the Holy Cross Parish, 252 Dubuc Street, Winnipeg, MB R2H 1E3.

Prayers and funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Parish, 252 Dubuc Street on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with viewing prior. Interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
