On October 20, 1953, Vicky Ann Donnelly was born to Andrew William and Mary Katherine Donnelly in Rolla, Missouri. Her early years of education began at Mark Twain Elementary. Vicky and her family attended the Rolla Seventh-day Adventist Church until 1960, the time they moved to Fontana, California. Her Father’s employment was based at Norton Airforce Base in San Bernardino, California, where the family later moved. There Vicky attended California Elementary completing her sixth grade. She and her family later became members of the Fontana Juniper Avenue SDA Church under the leadership of Elder Clarence J. Williams. In 1966, the family moved to San Diego, California where her father was employed at the 32nd Street Naval Station. She became an avid member of the 31st Street SDA Church and later joined the Maranatha SDA Church. Vicky attended Gompers Jr. High and Lincoln High School. Pursuing higher education, she attended and graduated from National University earning a bachelor’s degree. Her hard work was rewarded with employment at the IRS as a Revenue Agent until her retirement. Vicky was blessed with one daughter, Angel Sherri Peoples and a son-in-law, Daron Dewayne People. They have two children, Angel Charisse and Andrew James, making Vicky a proud grandmother and great grandmother of 3 boys (Makai, Jacquice, and Major). Vicky is survived by six sisters and three brothers, Joyce Kay, Glady Louise (Leonard), Andrew William Jr., Mark Anthony (Mary), Mary Carol, Cleveland Wayne, Deborah Lynn, Yvonne Yvette, and Pauline Elizabeth. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and her two faithful and devoted furry family members Mama Citta and Shadow. As you can see Vicky was truly blessed and leaves many friends and church family who will dearly miss her.
~Things We Cannot Understand~
“There are many things in life that we cannot understand, but we must trust God’s judgements and be guided by His hand. And all who have God’s blessings can rest safely in His care, For He promises safe passage on the wings of faith and prayer”! ~Helen Steiner Rice~
Vicky Ann Donnelly is now peacefully resting in Jesus Christ, awaiting that great resurrection day when her Lord and Salvation Jesus Christ will call her forth with all His sleeping children to eternal life.
“For this we declare to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, shall not proceed those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall arise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so, shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with theses words. I Thessalonians 4:15-18
