William R. Terry, Sr.

preceded in death by his parents, Hazelmai McCarver Terry and Robert Wade Terry. He is

survived by his wife of 58 years, Monica McRedmond Terry, and his 5 children: William R.

Terry, Jr. (Sherri Ann), Michael A. Terry (Mitzi), Patrick W. Terry (Sherry), Robert J. Terry

(Melanie) and Kristin Terry Coode (Phillip). In addition to his children, his greatest joys were

his 15 grandchildren and his 3 great grandchildren: Whitney Terry Pierce (Jordan), Will Terry,

Morgan Terry, Emma Terry, Patrick Terry, Jr., Anna Terry, Jack Boutte, Joseph Terry, Ann

Marie Terry, Lukas Terry, Rebecca Terry, Christopher Coode (Eliza), Benjamin Coode, Monica

Ann Coode, Katherine Coode, and Carter, Caroline and Catherine Pierce. Mr. Terry is also

survived by his dear aunt, Bernadette McCarver Snyder of Saint Louis.

Mr. Terry attended the Cathedral School, Father Ryan High School and University of Tennessee

Nashville. His professional career started at AVCO, but for the last 50 years, his principle focus

was on real estate.

He was a lifelong devout Catholic and his attendance at daily Mass was of utmost importance.

As an active member at Saint Henry Church, Mr. Terry served as President of Men’s Club, and

assisted the needy through his ministry with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society.

Although many will know him as a businessman, Mr. Terry cherished his faith in God, his wife

and his family above all. The family finds comfort that he passed during the sacred season of

Holy Week.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22 at Saint Henry Catholic Church, from 4-7 pm. The

funeral Mass will be held at Saint Henry on Tuesday, April 23 at 12 noon. Burial will follow at

Calvary Cemetery.
