William S Earp

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, in Dignity Hall at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, located at 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Dogwood Suite.

A native of North Nashville, William, affectionately known as "Tony," was born on August 16, 1936, to the late William Sanford Earp II and Ruby Mae Arnette. He was a proud member of the North Nashville High School Class of 1956. During his career, he served as the Director of Data Processing for the State of Tennessee. Tony was also a devoted member of Hickory Hollow Baptist Church, where he was an active part of the Deacon body and known for his fondness for grilled cheese sandwiches.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wives, Christine Earp and Marie P. Earp.

Tony is survived by his children, William Daryl Earp and Sharon (Geoffrey) Buwalda; his grandchildren, Andrew Taylor Earp, Jennifer (John) Hiett, and Amy (Jeremy Mitchell) Buwalda; and his great-grandchildren, Lillian Haislip, Jacob Earp, Cayden Hiett, Tristan Buwalda, Gunnar Hiett, and Elena Mitchell.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hickory Hollow Baptist Church in Tony's honor.
