Mrs. Roper was born Wartrace, TN, on January 16, 1922, the daughter of the late Richard Cleveland Harris, Sr. and Kate Driver Harris. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Roper was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Roper; a son, John M. Roper; and a brother, Richard C. Harris, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Monty Pruitt; grandchildren, Renee (Sean) Mach, Sherri (Brad) Whitfield-Smith; and great grandchildren, Tanner Whitfield and Chilton Whitfield-Smith. Also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at noon, East Main Street Church of Christ in Murfreesboro, TN.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Tuesday at ten o’clock until the funeral hour at East Main Street Church of Christ.
