Virginia Baldyga Powell, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Brian Powell; her parents, Joe and Patty Brietenmoser; and her aunt and uncle, Percy and Judy Miller. She is survived by her cousin, Jeffrey Nicks, and his wife, Regina, and daughter, Rachel. Virginia graduated from Stratford High School and then attended Trevecca University. She was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority – Torch Bearer Chapter and was a long-time member of Tulip Street Methodist Church. She retired from a career with Pinnacle Bank. Virginia’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her longtime friend, Delano Brent, and family. Family and friends will gather at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Monday, October 16, 2017, for visitation from ten o’clock to twelve noon, followed by a graveside service at noon, at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations in her honor to the Human Society and/or the Alzheimer’s Association.
