Suzanne Hammond Beasley

Suzanne Hammond Beasley, age 93, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. Suzanne was born on October 30, 1928 to her parents, Daniel and Ruth Hammond. She graduated from Marshall County Highschool in 1947 and also attended Columbia Business School. On June 20th, 1949, she married her husband, Joe L. Beasley. Suzanne enjoyed over 35 years in banking with Commerce Union Bank and all its progressions, becoming Sovran, Nations, and finally Bank of America. Suzanne and Joe both enjoyed traveling together, taking yearly trips and cruises. She was also an excellent cook, a member of Gilroy Church of Christ, and volunteered at UNA where she absolutely loved working with children.

Suzanne is survived her son, David Beasley (Becky Elaine), her two granddaughters, Cara and Natalie Beasley, and two great grandchildren, Merryn and Foster Dorris.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. Beasley, her son, Donald Beasley, her brother, Pierce Hammond (Nashville), and sisters, Carolyn Bass (Shelbyville), Emily Harrison (Murfreesboro), Virginia Fry (Bellbrook, OH), and Rachel Buie (Meridian, MS).

A funeral service for Suzanne will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 with visitation at 10:00 AM and the service, officiated by Minister Jim Minor and accompanied by Jo Schornikow, starting at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
