The Tennessean's number one fan of the obituaries, passed away on Sunday October, 27th in his home. There wasn’t a day he didn’t check to see if he “was on it.” Mr. Vaughan retired from the TN Dept of Safety after nearly 40 years. He served in the U.S. Navy, was awarded The Stonecrest Hospital Humanitarian award, Volunteered with Room in the Inn and was the absolute best human, father, grandfather and friend on the planet. The world lost a great man.
Survived by daughters, Leslie Vaughan Dillon of Smyrna; Melissa (Mark) King of Nashville, grandchildren Emily and Andrew Dillon, Carter and Cameron King; friend, Clint Jones.
Visitation will be at Woodlawn Funeral Home Wednesday, October 30th from 3pm - 6pm with service to follow beginning at 6:00.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research; or to the Democratic National Party.
Hope this one would have made you proud, Daddo!
